THE BELLINGHAM SCHOOL OF VISUAL ART IS AN AFTER SCHOOL PROGRAM FOR CHILDREN AGES 6+ WHO HAVE AN INTEREST IN ART AND WOULD LIKE TO LEARN MORE.
CLASSES Students begin the program with experimental and representational drawing before moving into painting. Each class is one hour long and limited to 6 students per class.
Tuition:
$65/month
Includes: 4 classes and 3 hours of open studio time per month.
(does not include materials)
Through the practice of drawing, painting, and assembly students will develop fluency in the visual grammar of art while learning to organize the elements of this grammar into design.
During the program young artists will be encouraged to express themselves, practice the fundamentals of representation, and become confident in their ability to create from imagination.
As part of the program each student will create their own portfolio. At the end of the year student artwork will exhibited in a gallery reception during the Downtown Gallery Walk.
